Where'd you get that name?
Though unusual, Bel-Jean Copy/Print came by its name in a rather simple way. Our shop opened in the summer of 1983 by businessman Ammon Belleman (that’s the Bel-). His wife and partner in business was Jean (that’s the Jean). Mr. Belleman and his wife already owned a similar shop in College Park, Maryland, and he was looking for a location within easy driving distance of his beloved retirement home in Hilton Head, SC. He visited several college towns closer to Hilton Head, but, in the end, he fell in love with Athens, Georgia. He found a great location on Broad Street in downtown Athens and we have been here ever since.
